Converting the "we design to transform" story into a tangible brochure for use on the Trade mission was somewhat of a challenge but with an enormous effort Nicolette Di Lernier, State Manager for the AIA, pulled off the seemingly impossible. It is worth noting that translating documents is not a trivial exercise. There are cultural reasons why design for a chinese audience might use colours like red and gold. And text can be chosen carefully to both make sense and look right in chinese characters. Names are particularly tricky and if you are not careful you get something that is meaningless and difficult for a chinese audience to remember.
