Draft Narrative

"Adelaide is one of the world’s most liveable cities and this is by design, not by luck or by accident - Adelaide has been defined by its environment, culture, people and place. Our design heritage goes back almost 200 years to the early planning of the city and the colony and continues to express itself to this day. Our lifestyle and city give us daily inspiration for design and the spaces and freedom to think creatively."
Some of the proposed examples that showcase our ability to transform places and solve problems, whilst conserving and appreciating the assets that we started with:
· Transformation of a dumping ground into what is now the OBahn and linear park
· North Tce Cultural Precinct
· World heritage bid, hills face zone
· Coast Park – shared Walking and cycling path
· Barker inlet / wetlands/breakout creek
· Adelaide Oval
· SAHMRI and the new Royal Adelaide Hospital
· Adelaide Zoo vertical garden and pandas
Highlighting our ability to think holistically, to design in an integrated manner across the value chain in order to incorporate all the needs - thinking clearly about plans and visions that need to inform the design and collaborating humbly and effectively with all stakeholders to meet expectations and desires. We will boast about our ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines.
