The Brief

Since the 90 Day project we have been talking to the Department of State Development (DSD) and the Australian Institute of Architects to explore what comes next. Three opportunities presented themselves - and myself and Phil Donaldson have been contracted by DSD to deliver:

  • Design sector involvement in the May trade mission to Shandong Province,

  • A design sector strategy that can be used to inform the Government's approach to design based industries as part of a creative industries strategy, and

  • Foundations for cluster development.

We see our main role as creating a stronger link between the government processes and industry. We hope this website will provide a hub for conversations and connect-the-dots between all the different activities that can lead to economic development for the sector. We also believe in that the disparate activities will benefit from coherent and resonant messages about what South Australia has to sell.
